Art has been a part of me for as long as I can remember.  I have always made art in some shape or form because when I create with my own hands, I am at once in a different place and smack dab in the here and now. 

I love the creative process, from the first spark of an idea to the completed product. Painting is my favorite form of expression.

I enjoy painting a wide variety of subjects, being most interested in the effects of light and the application of paint.  I enjoy painting figures and portraits that represent a culture or way of life, believing that we are all connected and part of creation and that our actions have an effect on the natural world. 

 I enjoy the outdoors when painting en plein air and I enjoy my studio time where I can play and experiment with many tools to apply the paint so that my work is painterly and expressionistic while being representational.  

I have exhibited my art for many years and feel honored to have been included in collaborative shows that contribute to conservation and preservation.
