Barnardsville, NC

I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from Penn State University and was fortunate enough to be able to use that training to forge a career in illustration.
Now that I am retired, I am able to concentrate again on my fine art.

Landscapes in oil or acrylic are my main choices of subject matter and media. The spaces in western North Carolina, so much like my native Pennsylvania, are my primary inspiration-in fact, about half of my paintings are taken from things I have seen within a few miles of my house.

I am constantly bombarded with views of spaces that I feel have some importance
and should be turned into pictures.  Other times there is just a color combination I
want to explore.  The final goal is always the same - to create something positive
and life-affirming.
