After a long career in higher education as a professor of U.S. history, David, his wife Janet, and their two dogs relocated to Asheville, NC. Here, they've dedicated their time to painting, pottery, and being very good girls, respectively.

David has been painting and drawing his entire life with a focus on natural landscapes and the occasional still life. Here in North Carolina, his subjects have focused on the stunning wilderness and waterways that course throughout the region.
