Originally a potter, I now work mainly on abstract encaustics and mixed media influenced by the natural world and the amazing, often missed, elements found there. Works include inks, pastels, watercolor, original photographs, found objects and of course, wax. The work is influenced by my travels.
Whether it’s a trek across country or a hike along the Blue Ridge, I always find something interesting and inspirational to use in my work. I have studied at Penland School of Craft and Arrowmont and moved to Asheville from Boone/Blowing Rock where I was artist in residence at Edgewood Cottage and showed my work at Doe Ridge Gallery.
