Jan has been a professional artist for 40 years with a degree in education and further study in art from the University of South Carolina.  Born to a military family I have had the privilege of continuing to move around the U.S. and abroad.  It has been an enriching experience meeting new people and living in many wonderful places.  For the past 40 years I have lived in both Carolinas, one on the coast and the other in the mountains.  Hence the coastal scenes and the mountain scenes.  I have participated in galleries and showings in Charleston, S.C., Wells Gallery at Kiawah Island, Horton Hayes Fine Art Gallery, Haywood Studio Tour, and Art at Laurel Ridge.  Jan lives in Waynesville N.C. and Denver N.C. with her husband, Charlie, and her spoiled puppy, Coco.
