Jude Kaye is a visual artist who paints primarily using acrylics. She starting painting after retiring as a long time management consultant to nonprofit organizations.  As a management consultant her work required her to be practical, academic, methodical, and analytical -- Jude lived in the world of words and rational thought.   As a painter Jude gets to live in the world of emotion, experimentation, playfulness and impulsiveness – images take the place of words.

During her work as a consultant she spent her spare time as a glass artist –enabling her to exercise both sides of her brain.  Much of her stained glass and fused glass work was inspired by the Art Deco and New York Abstract Expressionist movement, and she is heavily influenced by those periods of artistic expression. Jude is primarily a self-taught artist.  She loves textures and uses acrylic gels & mediums -- as well as including things such as glass, sand, and other additives -- to bring another dimension to her work.
